Announcing the 46 Hour Improv Marathon Schedule

Do you want to know what each separate hour of the 46-Hour Improv Marathon is in more detail? Well, here you go. Each hour will feature all eight of our core marathon performers, of course, but most hours will also include special guests, unique formats and styles, and new challenges for body and mind. Most people come and watch several hours in a row!

 

1 Friday 5PM Teen Mixer The teens from the Hideout Summer Camp get the Marathon kickstarted right.
2 Friday 6PM And They’re Off The core cast gets to know one another in this anything-goes hour 
3 Friday 7PM Start Trekkin’ The Hideout’s hit take on the original Star Trek Series. Set phasers to ‘fun’.
4 Friday 8PM Fancy Pants The Fanciest Pantiest improv show in the Galaxy!
5 Friday 9PM At Home with Katy and Tony Two actual, lovely British people welcome the core 8 into their Living Room for this hour
6 Friday 10PM PGraph This award-winning, internationally touring group blends humor, drama, and storytelling in unexpected ways.
7 Friday 11PM The Knuckleball Now The fastest, quickest-wits in town. Scenes, characters, puns and plot-twists speed by in a rollercoaster of laughs.
8 Saturday 12AM Bad Boys The wildly popular ColdTowne troupe crashes the party
9 Saturday 1AM Squirrel Buddies Ukuleles, irreverence, positivity, and playfulness reign supreme in this hour
10 Saturday 2AM The Black Vault Improvised Cosmic horror inspired by H.P. Lovecraft
11 Saturday 3AM Golden Improvised Silent Stories
12 Saturday 4AM ColdTowne The Bat: improv in the dark… AKA a cruel trick to play on the Marathoners
13 Saturday 5AM Amazon and the Milksop Something crazy. And awesome. And crazy.
14 Saturday 6AM Cochise A fully improvised ‘70s cop show, created live from your suggestion
15 Saturday 7AM Marathon Alumni Show A blast from the past. Marathon Alumni come to support and advise the 2014 participants
16 Saturday 8AM Empty Promises A Harold group from ColdTowne
17 Saturday 9AM Building Connections Students from the Building Connections improv classes join the Marathoners
18 Saturday 10AM Dubbed Indemnity Famous movie and TV clips have had their sound removed, and it’s up to the cast to dub new dialogue.
19 Saturday 11AM Control Issues A really awesome show we were forced to change the name of. Formerly “Choose Your Own Adventure”
20 Saturday 12PM The Devil & Halyn Erickson A demon voice rules the block. This classic solo show is now an hour long thing.
21 Saturday 1PM History Under the Influence One very drunk narrator tells historical tales that the cast acts out.
22 Saturday 2PM What’s the Story, Steve? An adorable (and real!) dog goes on an adventure, aided by improv.
23 Saturday 3PM The Eye in the Storm The midpoint of the show… and a brief respite for the core 8 to do whatever they want. This is when they need you the most. Come cheer them on.
24 Saturday 4PM Charles Dickens Unleashed! Improvised Tales of Victorian England in the style of Charles Dickens
25 Saturday 5PM Double Marathon The Austin Runners Club stops by to talk about marathons during the marathon
26 Saturday 6PM Girls Girls Girls An improvised Broadway-style musical by an award-winning, all-lady cast.
27 Saturday 7PM Confidence Men 2-time B Iden Payne Award winning Confidence Men present improv in the style of David Mamet.
28 Saturday 8PM The Frank Mills The Legendary Improv Group
29 Saturday 9PM Scene of the Crime An improvised murder mystery full of twists, turns, big reveals, and big laughs.
30 Saturday 10PM Maestro 2.1 The Hideout’s longest-running improv show. Elimination-style improv games and scenes!

39 Sunday 7AM Buzz Band The biopic of a 90s band that never existed… complete with their hit, improvised songs.
40 Sunday 8AM The Escorts Austin Improv darlings present a bold format.
41 Sunday 9AM Of Mice and Mostly Women A whip-smart high school group coached by Marathon alumnus Caitlin Sweetlamb
42 Sunday 10AM Fury Road Mad Max: Fury Road was a hell of a movie.
43 Sunday 11AM Spirited Improvised dreamscapes in the style of Lewis Carroll, Sendak, and Miyazaki
44 Sunday 12PM The Available Cupholders Austin improv legends make it go.
45 Sunday 1PM Fakespeare An improvised play in the style of William Shakespeare
46 Sunday 2PM Final Show The victory lap of the 8 core Marathoners. They’re free to do whatever they like… except sleep.
