Shortform Jam
The Shortform Jam runs every Sunday at The Hideout Annex. The jam is a great way to get practice with the games and scenes you might see in Hideout shows like The Big Bash, Maestro, and Fancy Pants. Come meet a bunch of friendly improvisers from The Hideout and greater Austin improv community! We recommend the jam for anyone who has completed Level One or has other improv or theater experience.
BIPOC Jam
The BIPOC Jam offers a safe space for people of color to engage and embrace improv. No experience necessary! The jam is open to all BIPOC members of the Hideout and larger Austin improv community (or those curious about becoming part of that community).
Femme Jam
The Femme Jam is open to all femme-identifying students and improvisers. Come play games and scenes in a friendly, supportive environment.
Pride Jam
Come play improv games and scenes in a casual, relaxed environment with your fellow LGBTQIA+ members of the improv community! We have some games pre-planned, but we are open to your suggestions, and we want to leave plenty of time for community building in between scenes.
Narrative Jam
Practice your improv storytelling skills! Whether it’s Pgraph, The Improvised Movie, or one of our mainstage shows, The Hideout loves narrative longform. Come try it out!
Singing Jam
Practice your improvised singing in a fun, non-judgmental environment!
Longform Jam
Practice your montage and longform skills!
Shakespeare Jam
Practice your improv Shakespeare skills!
