Jessica Arjet teaches some of the fundamental principles of clowning that she picked up during her 17 year career as a birthday party clown.

Let the audience be smarter than you
Pops, pauses, and exaggerations
Clown Brain
And more, or less, depending on the class and where our clown brains take us.
(This class will not discuss costuming, make-up, or props.)
This class is open to improvisers of all levels.

Bio:
Jessica Arjet is one of the co-owners of the Hideout Theatre. She performed as a birthday party clown from 1999-2016. Her dedication won her a huge number of tiny fans and an Austin Chronicle “Best of” Award. Improv was her next extension of clowning and you can see elements of her clown work in her Glitter Witch or Hideout Family shows.
