Intuitive Scenework Workshop (6-week series)
with Joey Neugart
Designed to liberate you from the pressure of inventing, plotting, and rushing to find the game, this diagnostic-style workshop invites you to stop analyzing and start feeling. Through extended two or three person scenes with slower pacing, we will explore listening deeply, committing to authentic character work, and discovering what the scene is asking of us. Students should expect personalized feedback, real-time coaching, and some scenework that is more dramatic than comedic (but the funny will find us – don’t worry).
This class is open to graduates of Level Three and above.
7-9pm (2 hours) on Thursdays June 11 – July 16
Pay what you can $185/$200/$220
at Central Christian Church (1110 Guadalupe St)

Joey Neugart started his improv journey in San Francisco in 2011. He trained at BATS Improv, studied with teachers from Impro Theater, Groundlings, Second City Chicago, Saturday Night Live and Keith Johnstone, and was a regular performer with the Unscripted Theater Company. In 2017, he relocated to Austin and currently performs in shows at The Hideout and Coldtowne Theater. He has been a member of two B. Iden Payne award-winning Latine troupes: Escandalo! and Misterios.
