Harold Mechanics for Narrative Improv
with Clifton Highfield
Saturday, April 19, 2:30-5pm (2.5 hours) at The Hideout Annex

This class is designed for improvisers with a background in narrative improv who want to expand their skill set by diving into the mechanics of the Harold. Students will explore how the structure, game, and thematic connections of a Harold differ from traditional storytelling while exploring how their narrative instincts can enhance scene work and group mind. Through exercises focused on pattern recognition, heightening, and nonlinear scene progression, students will practice weaving multiple storylines that follow discovery and theme until they converge organically.

Regardless of your improv background, if you are looking to sharpen your pattern recognition or aiming to build stronger narrative connections, Clifton’s workshop offers the tools to take your improv to the next level. Here is a quote from a former student.
