Our improv students are the lifeblood of the Hideout, and it’s time to celebrate that.

And what better way is there to do that than with a big blowout show? (Answer: there is no better way)

So that’s exactly the plan: A show in two parts that gets students and former students up on stage in different ways.

Specifically, the December Student Mainstage, The Untitled Avant-Garde Theater Project with a Really Long Title

What happens with a group of theater-makers set out to parody the artform they love so? How long until they find themselves entrenched in what they seeked to satirize, drop their guard, and create an original play for us. Before they know it, as they pluck characters from the air, a rich story emerges, motifs abound. Meanwhile, all the things we love about live performance are subject for their playful roasting.

The Student Battle Royal

Closing out the evening will be the Student Battle Royal. Two teams of students will duke it out on stage by tackling mysterious challenges for points.
