Are you ready to Attend The Tale?
Attend The Tale is a fully improvised musical created by Mallory Schlossberg & Margaret Hunsicker that is filled with street waifs, hopeless souls and demonic murderers. Fret not, though, Attend The Tale is the same brand of silly, fun, whimsical improv we all know and love, just with a little danger mixed in!
Using audience suggestions, we’ll craft a gothic narrative filled with revenge, , and playful twists. Before your very eyes, we’ll create a fully-improvised musical teeming with thrilling group numbers, haunting solos and, of course, comedy!
“I always like to ask — how theatrical can we make this musical improv show?” co-director Mallory Schlossberg muses. “And I really think we’re putting the “musical” in “musical” improv. I’m a big believer in pushing boundaries when it comes to musical improv and doing things that are hard — like improvised Sondheim! Besides, there were likely other people in Victorian London who had jobs like “barber” and were mad!”
“I’m so excited to tackle a really ambitious, crazy project like this!” adds co-director Margaret Hunsicker, “We are charging at this show full force, and I promise it will be a never-before-seen spectacle unlike any other improv show.”
Join us for an evening where the strange and the silly collide in a riotous celebration of gothic horror and musical theater. Expect to be wowed by our incredible group numbers, and prepare to gasp as you realize, “Wait, they improvised that?!”
