Hideout Education Director Andy Crouch is bringing back his experimental Holy Trinity workshop – in which students will do nothing but Ball, Dolphin Training and Hat Game, each of them for way too long.
If you’ve ever taken a class with Andy you’ve heard him claim that, given a room full of people and the goal of training them to improvise as quickly as possible, he would do nothing but the three “games” listed above. Because each one is a perfect microcosm for the art form of improvisation. Because they give you everything you will ever need to have fun jumping up on stage and making things up.
Week 1: Ball
Week 2: Dolphin Training
Week 3: Hat Game
Week 4: Using the lessons of the first three weeks in wall-to-wall scenework
