Specialty Workshops – Austin Improv Comedy Shows, Classes

In addition to our standard 6-week level classes, The Hideout likes to host specialty workshops on specific topics that will add some great skills to your improv tool belt.

These can range from intensives with world-renowned instructors from out of town to one-off sessions with local teachers showing you some of their unique expertise. They’re a great way to work on very specialized skills in a short amount of time.

Interested in helping us make Maestro as awesome as possible every single week? We’ll talk about (and PLAY with) best practices for warming up the cast, hosting the show, setting up and directing games and scenes, cultivating mischief and excitement, creating a fun “shape of show,” and giving constructive notes afterward. All toward the goal of creating a fun, world-class experience for improvisers and audience members alike.
