DANGEROUS IMPROV
w/Andy Crouch and Troy A. Miller
Saturday Afternoon Workshop (3hrs)
Hideout Education director Andy Crouch and LA improviser Troy A. Miller have been performing high-octane, high-wire narrative shows for over 15 years. Their duo Danger!Warning!Improv! specializes in adventurous genres like James Bond, Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek and more—but always with a twist designed to keep the audience on the edge of their seats. In this workshop there is no playing it safe. You’ll be pushed into dangerous, delightful and potentially disastrous places, which is where improv lives.
Expect to be up on your feet playing the entire time, practicing techniques and philosophies designed to keep you improvising faster than you can think and juggling more balls than any sane person should. We’ll work with your favorite cinematic genres and drill a bunch of audience-thrilling tricks while we’re at it.
This class is intended for intermediate/advanced improvisers (18 & older) with some prior improv experience (Hideout Level 2 or above)
noon-3pm on Saturday, Feb 21 (pay what you can $39/$49/$65)
