The Hideout Diversity Scholarship

The Hideout’s Diversity Scholarship Program is aimed at increasing our diversity of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and disability. Whether you are new to improv, new to The Hideout, or have been around our community for a while, scholarships are available for all levels of classes.

Scholarship students receive full tuition for a six-week class session and can reapply for continuing levels at any time. Our scholarship program is not explicitly need-based—we don’t ask any financial questions in the form—so we ask that applicants consider their own financial situation when deciding to submit in order to give us the flexibility to award as many scholarships to those who might not otherwise be able to benefit from our classes.

We understand that scholarships and classes are only a part of the equation when it comes to increasing representation. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or suggestions about auditioning, performing, directing and otherwise getting involved in improv at The Hideout.

The Hideout’s BIPOC Improv Jam is an ongoing improv jam for the BIPOC community. Hideout wants to raise awareness of its new initiative to fervently and enthusiastically open the doors to its BIPOC community. Providing a safe space for people of color to engage and embrace improv.
