Welcome Into The Garden.
Here we explore what makes us feel sexy, loved and worthy of affection. We delve into the experiences that have tested our confidence, called our self-worth into question and made us lie in bed at night, reliving the moment in our heads.
Into the Garden will follow the journey of a person who is battling their self-esteem and difficulties interacting with others in their day to day life. They then find themselves transported to a lush garden filled with denizens that are our protagonist’s aspirational ideals of confidence, sexiness, lack of inhibitions.
These denizens will help our main character confront their problems in the garden, providing them with a fresh outlook on their relationships with others and themselves.
We’ll use your suggestions, stories, ideas and more to guide our show, to shape the garden and build a fully realized world of fantasy and reality before your eyes!
Into the Garden is led by veteran improvisers Adrian Prado and Tatiana Jitkoff.
“This is a very personal concept for me that comes from my own journey of finding my sexy,” says co-director Adrian Prado. “I think we’ve all been told something or been in a situation that has affected the way we see ourselves as confident human beings. This show is a look at how we take that incident and turn against ourselves. It’s about the journey we sometimes have to go on to find our way back to a state of self love.”
“This show is a way for us to explore something a little daring, and maybe a little uncomfortable but in an exciting way,” says co-director Tatiana Jitkoff. “This show is not about sex, it about about being Sexy in the broader sense of the word – confident, authentic, owning your desire, and feeling desirable, whatever that means to you. Its about the walls that hold us back and the curiosity to move past them.”
